Callie's Kustoms Callies Shirts

Most of the work on LaBomba was done by Jordon himself. He had a small amount done at shops, some help from Callie, his father and father-in-law and most of all lots of time!

LaBomba is now finished! The work we did includes new front fender, some other minor body work, total brake job, new wheels & tires, new grill, headlights & cat eyes, a total front end rebuilt, electrical work, custom bent headers, racing seats & 5-point harness, roll bar, mexican blanket upholstery, new carpet, satin black paint inside & out, replaced the truck bed, diamond plate tool box, Callie's Kustoms signs for the doors & back window and last, but not least, a complete and total engine tear down and rebuild with the addition of a NOS system. It was a long project, but it's now DONE!!

LaBomba's Engine

LaBomba's Engine is a 383 stroker, with a 10/20 block (high tin and nickel). It's an engine from a '74 C60 School Bus! I built this engine with Nitrous in mind. This build was a close pattern of an article in Car Craft.

Engine Specs

After market Vortec Heads with 2.02 valves and 9.3 compression
Forged Crank, rods and pistons
Comp Cams XE 274H Cam
Comp Cams Stainless Roller Rocker Arms
Edelbrock RPM Air Gap Intake
Edelbrock 750 Carb
Powershot 120 hp NOS

Jordon choose this combination because it should make a conservative 440 hp and still be very streetable. With the NOS it should run about 560 hp!

The Front end is a Dodge Aspen/Volarie. The Rear end is a GM 12 bolt with Posi. The battery was moved to under the rear bumper and the gas tank is now located behind the rear axle. These moves got some weight on the back tires, which are Nitto Drag Radials, to help plant some horse power to the ground!
